Meet your Wide Open guide in the hotel lobby at 6:00pm for a fun and comprehensive Driver’s Orientation after which you will enjoy dinner at one of Villa del Palmar’s restaurants. Our professional guides will make sure everyone is familiar with our race cars, understands tour procedures and gets properly fitted with safety equipment. Please make sure that you limit your liquid enjoyment and taste of Baja until after the briefing so that you can fully assimilate the important information you will be given.

Once our dinner is complete, we encourage you to relax poolside or venture into town for an evening of Cabo’s rockin’ nightlife. Enjoy!

Following an early breakfast, you will be transferred to the cars, located just 25 minutes
north of town. After our professional guides have reviewed the race cars, tour procedures
and safety equipment, it’s time to fire up the engines. Little is going to compare to the great time you’re about to have as we then head off – driving Baja’s superb rolling hill roads before hitting the Pacific Coast and then winding our way up to the historic surfing paradise of Todos Santos. On arrival, it’s time for a superb oceanfront lunch.

Following lunch we head back up the Pacific Coast before crossing the peninsula towards La Paz. But be careful as there are very few maintained roads and paths on this part of the journey and keep your eyes open because the cactus forests are thick! You’ll share that same sense of accomplishment all heroic Baja racers have had as you drop down onto the legendary “Waterfall” trail that leads to the seaside community of La Paz.

We’ll stay at the 7 Crowns Hotel nestled right in the heart of the town, on the Malecon, which offers a great seaside and people watching view from the Roof Terrace Bar. We enjoy dinner al Fresco at one of many options for a great dining experience with an after dinner stroll down the boardwalk back to the hotel. It is history and total relaxation all rolled into one perfect Baja evening.

Prepare for one of the best adrenaline filled days driving Baja has to offer as we thunder on west across the peninsula, uphill and down dale, to the Pacific Ocean through magnificent canyons and washes down to the Baja coastline, so pretty it hurts your eyes. On route you’ll stop at one of several of our superb “secret” lunch spots only known to us. Lean back, take in the views and enjoy another sumptuous lunch. How about shrimp or chicken fajitas, fresh salsa, guacamole and hot tortillas – cooked by our tour chef right on the spot.

You will hit some very wide and fast roads before crossing Highway 1 at “Las Pocitas” after which we thunder on west across the peninsula, uphill and down dale, to the Pacific Ocean through magnificent canyons and washes down to the Baja coastline, so pretty it hurts your eyes.

As you arrive late afternoon after a long days drive, you will be more than ready to relax at the Hotel Paradise, on the outskirts of La Paz, giving you the option to hang back to carry on, relaxing and enjoying the smooth margaritas and cold beers, or to head into town for some more excitement.

Brace yourself. Today will have a sense of excitement that’s amazing from the moment you awake. After breakfast, your first challenge will be to tackle the famous Waterfall again…this time uphill! Then change pace for some fast running along open roads and speed through fun “two track” trails punctuated with cactus forests so thick it seems to create a natural tunnel in many places. You’ll carve through sand washes from right to left, loading and unloading your car’s suspension like a skier in fresh powder.

Settle in for a great afternoon run to the sunny shores of Cabo San Lucas. The mountainous trails snake through rolling plateaus via trails that dip, dive and swerve – at times in stark solitude where you’ll be stunned by the magnificence of it all. If time permits, we’ll hit the high country – trailing past ancient oak trees and woody shrub land before finally blazing into the little village of Candelaria and down dry riverbeds on our final dash back to base and a moving farewell to these great little machines.

You’ll enjoy a chilled beer at base before taking the short ride back to where your adventure started. Depending upon your itinerary, you may head off to the airport or better yet, spend a few more days enjoying the myriad of activities Cabo has to offer – such as golf, fishing and much more.
