Our group will idle out of town through the ancient town square, and right past the 18th century Jesuit mission that is one of Baja’s most recognized buildings. With the Porsche engines now warmed up, we head west over the dry salt lake beds that line Laguna San Ignacio, one of the most famous whale watching sites on the Pacific Ocean.

More high speed miles are still ahead, followed by lunch at the spectacular palapa at Scorpion Bay. One of the most remote surfing locations anywhere, this magic spot is home to the second longest wave in the world – over 1 ˝ miles long!

Upon completion of our unique dining experience, it’s time to hit the trail. The tour will travel east toward the Sea of Cortez on challenging (and sometimes daunting) mountain trails that traverse the Sierra Giganta range. The scenic destination of San Jose de Commondu will provide the perfect opportunity to stop and take a break before climbing (via fast and challenging dirt roads) toward the thrilling drive down the steep cliffs and twisting trail that lead back to the Sea of Cortez and a final stop in Loreto – the first established town in Baja. Guests will enjoy a warm greeting and a cold Cervesa as they arrive at the picturesque Oasis Hotel. Sunset arrives just as we prepare to take our Baja travelers to a great Mexican mesquite-grilled dinner at El Nido.
