With the radio communications checked and the Porsche engines warmed-up, our group heads east to the famous
“Pepsi Stand” and the tour’s first dirt road.
Mountain passes and twisting ranch roads lead us to the green pastures and rich farm land of Ojos Negros (Spanish for Black Eye). Soon, we climb up miles of surprising trails lined by rich vegetation and old-growth timber that outline the famous “Pine Forest” in the Sierra de Juarez. The sparking blue waters of Laguna Hanson are next, followed by an exhilarating run back into the lowlands for fajitas sizzling over an open fire (prepared by the tour’s personal chef) at Jamau Meadows.

A high-speed sand wash is a perfect warm-up for the unforgettable journey across El Diablo dry lake. The cracked clay surface and towering mountains make a great spot for photographs and “wide open” running. A final push over Zoo Road and some tricky “whoop-de-dos” will take us to the sparking waters of San Felipe and the Sea of Cortez.
As you drive into the El Cortez resort, our crew will greet you with a warm smile, salsa, chips, and a chilled beer.
Join us poolside before joining your guide for a special Mesquite dinner at the El Nido steak house in
San Felipe.
