2011 Tecate SCORE Baja 500 Pre-Run with Wide Open Excursions

This past weekend Wide Open Excurisons has been pre-running for the Baja 500.

This year will mark the 43rd running of the TecateSCORE Baja 500. The elusive preempt to the Baja 1000. The Baja 500 starts and finishes in the beautiful oceansidecity of Ensenada, Mexico.

The race will cover between 400 and 500 miles of the toughest terrain northern Baja has to offer. Professional and amateurs racers from around the world flock to this race to be a part of an moment in time when man and machine battle the desert and mountain elements over a 12 hour dash to the finish line. For those of you that love racing in Baja this is a must do and although the 500 is not a 1000 miles. It has the possibility of feeling like more.

For over 11 years, Wide Open has been racing the Baja Challenge class in the Baja 1000 and has achieved a 100% finishing rate in the class for four years running.
